At Oasis Counselling Centre we provide therapy and a Twelve Step Programme but also take our treatment to a deeper level: we encourage a healthy and active lifestyle filled with fun and enriching activities. At Oasis, we see this approach as vital for the client to maintain sobriety.   For an alcoholic to remain sober in the world outside treatment it is necessary to look not only at a client's past, but also present factors threatening their sobriety. Once these factors are highlighted, alcohol addiction counselling at an alcohol rehab will help the client find alternative means of processing these factors in a manner that is healthy and not self-destructive.   Other addictive behaviours such as an eating disorder, co-dependency or self-harm can surface when alcohol is no longer used and also require therapy facilities in South Africa.
