Gambling Addiction Treatment - Treating Gambling Addictions

Oasis Counselling Centre is a registered drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in South Africa offering gambling addiction treatment which is provided by a team fully qualified in addictions. A gambling addiction is a problem just like drug addiction. At Oasis, we view all addictive behaviours as a symptom of an underlying problem. Just like drug addiction, gambling addiction treatment is required to consist of intensive therapy.

In treating gambling addictions we provide individual one-on-one counselling with a focus counsellor and group therapy. We encourage clients to work a 12 Step recovery programme as is worked in Gamblers Anonymous (GA). Often a gambling addiction is coupled with other addictive behaviours which are all addressed by the gambling addiction treatment at Oasis Counselling Centre.

The minimum recommended stay at Oasis Counselling Centre for gambling addiction treatment is three months and we also recommend progression to our tertiary facility, Solar House rehab centre. The treating of gambling addictions and a gambling problem with counselling requires time and effort as many behaviours need to be learned and dealt with which can only take place over an extended period of time.
